In today’s restaurant landscape, diners are looking for more than just a meal—they want an experience. For restaurants and bars, creating memorable, ticketed events is not only a way to bring in revenue, but also a powerful marketing tool. These events generate buzz, attract new guests, and give regulars another reason to come back.
At Moment Marketing Co., we’ve seen firsthand how experiential dining events can transform a restaurant’s brand presence. Below, we’ll share two case studies from some of our Beacon Hill clients that highlight the impact of strategic event design and promotion.
Case Study 1: Gingerbread House Party Brunch at 75 Chestnut
When the holiday season rolls around, restaurants compete for attention in an already busy dining market. Now in it's 20th year of doing this, 75 Chestnut leans into festive fun with a Gingerbread House Party Brunch that pairs hands-on creativity with indulgent food and drinks.
🎄 Event Concept: Guests enjoy brunch while building their own gingerbread houses, paired with seasonal cocktails and holiday décor.
📣 Marketing Approach: We promote and manage ticket sales for the event through email, social media, press outreach, ticketing platforms and more.
📊 Results:
Each year, the event grows in scale with returning guests season after season.
Event dates sell out within 24 hours of publishing months in advance from the event start.
Events dates fill seats during otherwise slower business hours.
This event showcases how a simple idea—combining dining with a nostalgic holiday activity—can create a high-demand experience.
Case Study 2: Cocktail Class at Cheers
Beyond dining, guests are eager to learn, connect, and take something home from their night out. Cheers Boston tapped into this with a Cocktail Class in partnership with Angels Envy during Manhattan Week in Boston, giving guests the chance to step behind the bar and discover the art of mixology.
🍸 Event Concept: Guests joined bartenders and Angels Envy specialists for a guided cocktail-making class, learning to craft 3 bourbon-based cocktails.
📣 Marketing Approach: We positioned the class as both a date-night activity and a group outing. Tickets were promoted through social media, email, and ticketing and event platforms with high quality brand photography and content capturing.
📊 Results:
The class sold out to capacity and future events are being planned.
The event brought guests into the bar on an otherwise slower week night in February.
Attendees are interested and already asking about future experiences at the location.
This event highlighted how educational and interactive experiences can build loyalty and strengthen a bar’s identity beyond being “just another pub.”
Why Ticketed Experiences Work
Experiential events like these deliver value on multiple levels:
Revenue Boost: Ticket sales add guaranteed income, and themed menus or drinks increase check averages.
Marketing Momentum: Guests generate organic content by posting their experiences online, amplifying reach.
Customer Loyalty: Memorable experiences turn one-time guests into repeat diners.
Restaurants that lean into creativity—whether through seasonal brunches, classes, tastings, or workshops—position themselves as destinations, not just dining spots.
Bringing It All Together
At Moment Marketing Co., we help restaurants conceptualize, market, and execute events that capture attention and drive business. Whether it’s a festive holiday brunch or an intimate cocktail-making class, the goal is the same: create experiences that guests want to share, and keep coming back for.
